Welcome to the Santa Clara County Leadership Academy
In 2010, ten local governments in Santa Clara County formed a cooperative to offer a Leadership Academy (SCCLA) for emerging leaders. The 10th Leadership Academy will be launched in April, 2021 and consists of eight half day virtual sessions (two 3.5 hour sessions per month - April - July) and four full days sessions (tentatively planned to be in-person if safe and allowable under COVID orders) on various topics. If the in-person sessions receive a green light, a training location will be shared with the program participants. Please see 2021 SCCLA Program flyer for additional information on topics and training dates . The curriculum of this certificate program consists of presentations by current and retired City Managers and other local government leaders, critiques of case studies, a team project, and follow‐up alumni events.
The SCCLA application deadline is March 22, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Your organization may set an earlier deadline for internal review of application materials, therefore, please check-in with your organization's Human Resources representative for possible internal deadlines and requirements.
